After a long summer of staying close to home, Tom and I decided to end the season with a quick trip to the White Mountains (while following all COVID-19 rules and regulations, of course). We had a wonderful time at Eagle Mountain in Jackson. Initially we planned on enjoying the sunrise drive at Mount Washington, which sadly was cancelled due to weather. Instead, we fueled up with their delicious breakfast, had mimosas for dessert and spent the morning golfing beneath the foggy mountain peaks. We filled the rest of the weekend with a winding hike up Cathedral Ledge, and a drive down the Kancamagus to Flume Gorge. There are so many stops along the way and in the Conway area- scenic turn outs, breweries, swimming holes, hikes and more. Next time our first stop will be the alpine slides. We didn't venture too far, but it was so refreshing to be exploring again.
