A slight change in elevation brought me from the shores of St Lucia to the summits of Aspen this January. We stuffed our rental car full of skis, snowboards and snacks, and made the trip down I-70, taking in the stunning views stretching from Denver to Aspen. Snowmass did not disappoint. There are trails for all skills levels, and views from 11,000 feet up that will take your breath away (and not just because of the lack of oxygen). After shredding our hearts out, we made our way slightly back east to check out Winter Park and check out every bit of powder we could. By the end of the week everyone was exhausted and in need of a beer or two - which made scootering and brewery hopping through Denver all that more refreshing! Our last day in Colorado we decided to hike around Garden of the Gods, and soak up as much sun as we could before flying back to frigid Boston.
