April, 2019 was full of gelato. A lot of gelato. We began our week in Italy in Amalfi, Italy and explored the coastal towns and island of Capri. The lemons did not disappoint, not as lemonade, or limoncello, or squeezed onto the freshly fried fish and chips. The blue waters and colorful buildings that painted the coast made for a breathtaking place that I am eager to return to. We made our way north and spent a few nights in Florence and Venice before heading to the Dolomites. We filled up on pizza and pasta like our lives depended on it while exploring the sights in these two historical and beautiful Italian cities. Our last few days in Italy were spent seeking out the heights via gondola and long hikes, both well worth the amazing views at the top. There aren't enough days in a lifetime to explore enough of all the amazing foods and sights that Italy has to offer.
