March, 2019... Three nights in Spain just wasn't enough! I had the opportunity to visit family friends for an extended weekend to explore Madrid, Navalmoral and Salamanca. Driving through the country side with snow-capped mountains out one window and beautiful fields with grazing horses out the other was exactly the breath of fresh air I needed. We explored local castles and small town markets, and finished off each day with amazing local dishes. Homemade flan and bottomless sangria made for a very painful farewell when my check-in time came around.
